LIFE

LIFE is the story of four women. They are all daughters, mothers, four generations of one family. T he story of LIFE takes its course with a young woman's drive for freedom and happiness during World War II. Sophie's story will influence her daughter's life all the way to her great-granddaughter in a way she could have never imagined when she left Hamburg for Berlin in 1943.

LIFE is a story of emancipation, of a great love. It is a story about courage, pain, anger and resignation. It is a story about how trauma is passed down through generations. It is a story about women through the ages. It is the story of Germany from 1943 to 2040, from a female perspective. It is a story about love, unlived dreams and in the end a story about forgiveness.
